The Design/Build method of project delivery is one in which one entity (a contractor teamed with a design firm) is responsible for the engineering, design and construction of the project. Over the last several years, Design/Build has gained popularity by Owners who wish to deliver large scale projects within a tight timeline.
Steve P. Rados, Inc. has been an active joint venture partner of several large scale public improvement Design/Build projects either completed over the last several years, or currently under construction. Major Design/Build contracts that we have been a part of include the $489 million SR-22 Freeway Widening Project completed in April 2008 for the Orange County Transportation Authority. Rados is currently teamed with Skanska Civil on the Design/Build $559 million EXPO 2 Light Rail Project, as well as the $11 million EXPO 2 Bikeway Project, also a Design/Build venture.
