Heavy and highway construction can present numerous risks; and because we want our employees to get home to their families at the end of each work day, safety is a core value for Steve P. Rados, Inc.

New employees are initiated into our safety culture as part of their orientation.

On a continuing basis, employees are instructed on the use of the correct tools for different jobs and taught to be aware of the risks inherent in different activities.  A variety of programs are used to insure that safety is an on-going and critical consideration.

Supervisory personnel are expected to set an example for their crews and to monitor the behavior of their employees in order to identify the need for corrective action.

Management including our full-time Safety Director monitors safety performance by a variety of means including job site visits and statistical measures and prescribes program changes when deemed necessary to take performance to a new level.
