Work Performed: This contract widened and reconfigured the northbound 405 Freeway in Sherman Oaks, CA. The entire interchange for Sepulveda Boulevard and Ventura Avenue was reconfigured to eliminate a severe weaving section that occurred at this location; and the project was a pre-cursor to the 405 Freeway reconstruction through the Sepulveda Pass. Rados constructed a new Greenleaf Undercrossing Bridge, widened the northbound freeway bridge over Ventura Boulevard, and constructed some nine new retaining walls to accommodate the new widened alignment of the freeway. Also included was a widening of Sepulveda Avenue; the construction of new on and off ramps from Ventura and Sepulveda to the 405 Freeway, northbound; and major storm drain and utility realignments to accommodate the new interchange configuration.
