On November 8, 2021, Steve P. Rados, Inc. was awarded the contract for the San Jacinto Valley Raw Water Conveyance Facilities for Eastern Municipal Water District. This project, located within the city limits of Hemet and San Jacinto, CA, is a $8,227,000 contract that is separated into Schedule A & B.

 

Schedule A – EM-25 Flow Control and Chlorination Facility 1. Furnish and install Flow Control Facility, including a 42-inch diameter plug valve and 36- inch diameter globe-style control valve, including all piping, equipment pads, and appurtenances. 2. Furnish and install 60-inch and 42-inch diameter welded steel transmission pipelines and appurtenances. 3. Furnish and install Chlorination Facility, including all equipment, building, piping, and appurtenances. 4. Furnish and install all electrical equipment, controls, and appurtenances. 5. Complete site work and grading. 6. Dispose of Phase 1 Pipeline soil stockpile (see Special Condition SC-76). 7. Complete start-up and testing. 8. Coordinate activities with Phase 1 Pipeline construction (by others, District Specification Number 1382W) and City of San Jacinto Esplanade Avenue Street Improvements (by others).

 

Schedule B – EM-25 Service Connection 1. Install District-furnished 42-inch diameter outlet to the MWD-owned 145.5-inch diameter Eastside Pipeline including appurtenances. Connection to the Eastside Pipeline must be completed within a continuous 7-day shutdown period of the Eastside Pipeline within the month of October 2022 (exact date to be determined). Two days prior to and two days after the 7-day shutdown period are reserved for draining and filling operations by MWD staff. 2. Furnish and install a reinforced concrete valve vault with a 42-inch high performance butterfly valve, pipe, and appurtenances. 3. Furnish and install a reinforced concrete meter vault with 42-inch wafer style check valve, a 42-inch acoustic flow meter, pipe, and appurtenances. 4. Furnish and install all electrical equipment, controls, and appurtenances. 5. Complete site work and grading. 6. Complete start-up and testing. 7. Coordinate activities with Phase 1 Pipeline construction (by others, District Specification Number 1382W) and City of San Jacinto Esplanade Avenue Street Improvements (by others).
